At Calzificio M. Bresciani, the creation of sartorial excellence has always been intertwined with a deep ethical commitment to fairness and inclusion. We recognise the fundamental importance of ensuring that all our customers, without distinction, have easy and equal access to our content. The centrality that, as the Bresciani brand, we reserve for the individual naturally extends to our relationship with those who choose the quality of our products, both in manufacturing and in navigating our website.

Bresciani is committed to respecting the highest accessibility standards, in full harmony with the principles of inclusivity that characterise our corporate vision. Our website aims to be accessible to all audiences, regardless of the technology used or the type of activity performed, and we constantly strive to improve its level of accessibility. To this end, we have recently integrated an accessibility widget that has significantly optimised the Browse experience for all users, and we have actively worked to resolve the critical issues that emerged from our reports.

This accessibility statement applies to the official website of Calzificio M. Bresciani, available at: https://www.bresciani.it/. It is drafted in accordance with Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004 (containing "Provisions to promote access for disabled persons to IT tools"), including subsequent updates and relevant European guidelines.

Accessibility Goals and Commitment: Bresciani's Digital Tailoring

As the “Sarti Delle Calze” (Tailors of Socks), we extend the concept of "sartoriality" and Made in Italy excellence to the digital world. We want our commitment to be reflected in every aspect of our work, including our digital space. This is not merely a regulatory compliance, but an authentic extension of the values of inclusivity that define Calzificio M. Bresciani.

Our approach to digital accessibility is based on a concept of "digital craftsmanship": with the same meticulousness with which we attend to every detail in our creations, we apply similar precision in the design and development of our digital platform.

The goal is to create web interfaces that are both aesthetically refined and functionally inclusive, ensuring that every user can appreciate the quality and value of our products.

To achieve this goal, we have implemented a comprehensive digital accessibility program that includes:

  • Collaboration with accessibility experts: Strategic partnerships to ensure best practices.
  • Continuous training for our team: Constant updating of development and design skills.
  • Integration of accessibility principles: Accessibility is an integral part of every phase of our digital development process.

Non-accessible content

Following the installation of the AccessiBe widget and the numerous implemented corrections, our website has achieved a state of complete accessibility according to the latest scan, with 490 total remediations that have improved accessibility for various disabilities, including cognitive, visual, and motor disabilities.

The previously reported critical issues related to requirements 9.1.1.1 (text alternatives), 9.1.3.1 (programmable structure), 9.1.4.1 (use of color), 9.1.4.3 (minimum contrast), and general potential critical issues have been largely resolved, and most website elements are now compliant.

However, a minor non-conformity has been identified, the resolution of which is not currently under our direct control:

  • Carousel/Slider Control Elements (Requirement 39): Control icons (e.g., "next" and "previous") within carousels or sliders may not include an "aria-label" attribute or screen-reader-only text explaining their functionality, making them less accessible for users of such tools. This issue is linked to the use of an external application for the carousel, over which we have no direct control (6 failures found).

Calzificio M. Bresciani S.r.l. is committed to maintaining this high standard of accessibility and to proactively address any new needs, while also evaluating alternative solutions for the external application.
